Stavromenos village is one of the biggest village at the eastern part of the bay of Rethymnon. The National road from Rethymnon to Iraklion runs between the village and it spreads over a distance of roughly 2 km.
The sandy strip along the north coast of Rethymno offers different version of beaches as the “silent bay” of Stavromenos and the “golden sand beach” that sits 11 kilometres to the east of Rethymnon town.
